Fall … crisp air, leaves, mums and pumpkins.
Did you know Marilyn Monroe began wearing plaid shirts in the 1940s? Plaid fashion created for women followed in Pendleton jackets, worn by actors in movies and TV series, then was later reflected as the “grunge” look in the 90s.
Although the fashion industry was not quite sure about plaid, it is now worn by everyone of all ages from dressy to casual, never losing its comfort.
The Real-Real Behind the Scenes
Marilyn was among the first to “borrow from the boys.”
You can read more here about the history of the plaid shirt.
A Little Background Music
Kathy Plaid Tie Blouse, Francesca’s, $40. Note: The shirt is named after me!
Swirl-135 Slide In Mule, in 4 Colors, Qupid, $20. Another great shoe to add to my collection, the Slide In Mule. Stylish with jeans, pants, skirts and leggings. Just about anything and everything. Very versatile and a low impact to the mule.
