Here comes the sun! We all get the urge to sit on patios, and relish the longer days and sunshine. If you are like me, you start “itching” to pull out all of your linen and white clothes from hiding and wear them! However, as Fine Southern Women, we were taught to NEVER wear Linen or White before Easter, or after Labor Day. And what about Winter White vs. White White? It better be unmistakably Cream or Ivory if you are going to put it on before Easter!!!
This rule has become a little less “taboo” over the generations. I wear white denim all year, but I STILL can’t bring myself to wear anything else in the White category and for sure, not linen.
Get excited! Easter is next week, girls!! Get that linen out and to the cleaners (because, they can make them look a lot better than I can with an iron). Grab your favorite straw hat and a group of girlfriends and have lunch on the nearest patio!
