EDITOR’S NOTE: What do you do when it’s still snowing in March in your neck of the woods? (ohmigosh, sad face) You use your snow shovel as fashion inspiration for a cute outfit! Presenting… Guest Kay Byrd, sending out her cheery message to the world from the South Rim of Grand Canyon, AZ. Make your own spring if you have to! – Marcie
Today’s outfit is inspired by my hello, mellow yellow shovel!
The beige, faux suede cap, is from? Your guess is as good as mine, I’ve had it forever! The scarf is Valmart (German pronunciation), the oversized yellow sweatshirt is a.n.a. from JCP, the dark denim jeggings are Mudd from Kohl’s, and the deep green rain boot with sock inserts is Hunter from Von Maur. And the lipstick is Maybelline Summer Sunset 615. It’s the only thing I wear, I’ve been wearing it for years. I used to buy it at Walgreens but I can only find it on Amazon now.
Moral of the story — pick your shovel wisely! Especially if you’re going to use it as fashion inspiration. :^)

I just saw something on the Facebook feed that shows the same color yellow used for a dress in the Oscars. A lot of people think it’s hard to wear yellow. You just need to pop the lip. Love it!
