Kathy: Antique Adventure

By Kathy Wallace

One of my favorite hobbies…antiquing. So peaceful and a great way to venture out and explore hidden treasures in the small towns of our homeland state of Oklahoma. Whether it be window shopping or stepping into a store, there is always a hidden treasure to be found!

Taking a moment to gather my thoughts on the stores that I want to revisit to purchase a treasure…

I found my treasure! A ring made from a vintage button. Such creations not only include rings but bracelets and necklaces as well.

Next stop, next treasure…who knows.

The Real-Real Behind the Scenes

I’d like to intrigue you with more information about jewelry crafted with antique buttons. Here’s a link to Grandmother’s Buttons, who uses actual 100-year-old buttons in their necklaces, rings, earrings, brooches, and charms. We love the idea of wearing history and re-purposing these treasures.
