Packed and ready for my Christmas-time trip to New York! Basic essential must haves … one large piece of luggage, a fur coat and hat, and leather gloves.
Stylish tall black micro boots for travel, but will later change into comfortable fur-lined winter boots.
I returned to reality, after a week of food and Christmas-light tours, plays, and talk-show tapings, shared with lifelong high-school friends. Following travel and the Christmas holidays, it was time for a walk in solitude, to reflect on 2017 and make plans for a successful 2018!
Findings along the journey…a frozen lake…
…and a lovely empty bird’s nest which will hopefully bring spring life very soon.
The Real-Real Behind the Scenes
I picked up this darling new hat at Century 21 on my trip to New York City. It’s my hot chocolate-drinking hat.
The Real-Real Behind the Scenes Take Two
Editor Marcie’s Note: All I see when I look at this incredible hat is the straight-up glamour of a Bond Girl!
Actually, a Bond Villain – Elektra King!
A Little Background Music
Editor Marcie’s Note: We are reliving today the excitement that is Shirley Bassey singing a Bond song like a boss! You can thank me later for this song being in your head all day.
Lemon Faux Fur Cuff Leggings, DSW, $20. These are the best leggings ever! Thick, heavy, and warm!
It was tough to find a similar black crushed velvet mid-length coat, so we focused on options with touches of luxury.
Calvin Klein Velvet Quilted Coat, Lord & Taylor, $130. Front and back views above.
